Lidor Levy, 34, one of the three victims of a terrorist stabbing attack in Gan Yavne on Sunday night, died from his wounds on Thursday, Israeli media outlets reported.
He leaves behind an 18-month-old daughter and a wife, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child.
“Lidor was an exemplary father, partner, brother, and son, a man full of love, nobility, and devotion,” his family said in a statement, Walla reported. “His life purpose was to help people modestly and humbly.
Lidor left a huge void in our hearts; we will continue to live according to the values he instilled in us for his memory.”
Levy previously wounded in the Gaza Strip
Levy was seriously wounded as a combatant in the Engineering Corps during an operation in the Gaza Strip in 2009, his family said. Even though he was exempted from reserve duty, he tried to enlist during the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, they said.
A 19-year-old terrorist from the Hebron area stabbed three people near a shopping center in Gan Yavne on Sunday night. He was killed by a police officer and a municipal guard.
