Foreign Minister Israel Katz welcomed on Friday the US's clarification that any ceasefire in Gaza would be conditional on the release of the hostages after US President Joe Biden called for a ceasefire without including that condition on Thursday.
"I welcome the clarification by the US that any ceasefire in Gaza will be conditional on the release of the hostages. We will continue to work with our allies in the world to preserve Israel's right to continue the war until the release of the abductees and the defeat of Hamas," wrote Katz on X.
