Freight train derails in Russia's Volgograd due to 'interference', Russian agencies report

Freight train cars derailed in the southern Russian region of Volgograd region due to "outside interference," Russian state news agencies reported on Tuesday, citing Russian Railways.

"As a result of interference by unauthorized persons into the operation of railway transport, cars of a freight train derailed at the Kotluban station," RIA state news agency reported, citing a statement from Russian Railways.

"According to preliminary information, there were no injuries. At this time, train traffic in the area of the Kotluban station is suspended."
