Tel Aviv drivers angry as Haredi parties force Ayalon closure to avoid working on Shabbat

There was heavy traffic on the Ayalon highway in Tel Aviv on Thursday afternoon, after haredi MKs pushed for the highway to be closed to avoid work on Shabbat, according to Israeli media.

The work had been scheduled for Saturday when traffic is significantly lower, but was moved to Thursday in order to not work on Shabbat.
