Incoming UK Foreign Minister David Lammy will call for an immediate ceasefire, a rapid increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the release of all hostages during his first visit to the Middle East beginning Sunday, his office reported Saturday afternoon.
In meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas, David Lammy will argue for a credible and irreversible path towards a two-state solution.
He also announced a £5.5 million donation to UK-Med to support their ongoing work to provide humanitarian assistance and medical treatment to Gazans.
