Captain (Capt.) Mordechai Kadmon, from Nof Ayalon, was killed by a grenade explosion outside of operational activity on Monday morning in the Gaza Strip, the IDF reported.
The military police have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The findings will be submitted to the military prosecutor's office for examination.
The soldier's family has been notified.
