Transportation Minister Miri Regev intends to lower the number of lessons required before a driving test from 28 to 22 40-minute lessons, Maariv reported on Wednesday.
After the National Road Safety Authority approves, the Minister will sign the change. In addition, the Transportation Ministry intends to cancel the internal test and test the students through a standard written test and a practical driving exam.
