IDF strikes Hezbollah launchers and military structures in southern Lebanon

The Iran-backed Lebanese group had their military structure in the area of Tayr Harfa struck after IDF soldiers identified a number of terrorists entering the compound.

Launchers and military structures belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization were struck in Lebanon on Friday.

The Iran-backed Lebanese group had their military structure in the area of Tayr Harfa struck after IDF soldiers identified a number of terrorists entering the compound.

Israeli forces additionally struck Hezbollah targets in the southern town of Chebaa in the country.

Exchanges of fire earlier in the day

Around the time the IDF's announcement of the strike, rocket sirens sounded in the Galilee area. A Ynet report said that rockets launched by Hezbollah into Israel landed in open areas in the Upper Galilee, with no casualties or injuries reported.

Approximately 40 rockets were fired from the terrorist organization into the Galilee, according to Hebrew media.

Earlier that day, the IAF struck several ready-to-use Hezbollah launchers in the areas of Maryamine and Yaroun in southern Lebanon, the IDF stated on Friday.
