Opposition leader Yair Lapid thanked former US President Barack Obama for his efforts to return the hostages during a meeting at Obama's office in Washington, according to a Tuesday morning post by the opposition leader on X, formerly Twitter.

During the meeting, Lapid thanked Obama for his public support and efforts, stating, "We all must work together to ensure a deal that will bring the hostages home."
