The Israel Air Force struck a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in the Khaim area, the IDF reported on Thursday.
The military's announcement followed Thursday morning Israeli media reports that eight people were injured after two rockets were launched towards the Upper Galilee.
No alarm was sounded before the reports.
The IAF has also conducted airstrikes on multiple Hezbollah terror facilities in southern Lebanon, targeting locations in Chihine, Tayibe, Bilda, Meiss El Jabal, Aitaroun, and Kfarkela, all of which have military significance to the terrorist organization, the IDF added.
In addition to the airstrikes, IDF artillery units also targeted various areas in southern Lebanon to disrupt Hezbollah’s activities further, the military stated.
Israelis wounded
According to a later KAN report, the eight Israelis were injured in the Ramim Ridge, west of Kiryat Shmona. Two of the injured were in mild to severe condition and were evacuated to the Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa.
The other six were lightly wounded and evacuated to Ziv Medical Center in Safed. The report did not specify how the Israelis were hurt.
No threat to any of the wounded was reported.
Additionally, the IDF reported that a fire broke out near Beit Hillel from fragments of a drone that crossed the Lebanese border into Israel. Another drone was sighted near the Ya'ara community.
No fragments were found, and no further wounded were reported.
