Germany's role in Europe is more essential than ever following the US presidential election, Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Wednesday, emphasizing that ongoing budget negotiations are progressing with "clarity and seriousness."
Asked about a scheduled Nov. 14 budget committee meeting amid concerns over coalition stability, Habeck said: "The only consequence of this election result in the USA can be that Germany cannot be absent from Europe. And I believe that the talks are now being conducted with the same clarity and seriousness."
