Britain refutes Russia's allegations against a British diplomat and is considering its response, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Tuesday after Moscow said it was expelling a British diplomat for alleged spying.
"This is not the first time that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's government has made malicious and baseless accusations against our staff," the spokesperson told reporters.
"To be clear, we refute these allegations. They are baseless. We are now considering our response," the spokesperson said, adding the response would come "in due course."
