The IDF identified suspects in a number of areas in southern Lebanon and fired toward them on Wednesday morning, the military stated on Wednesday.
The IDF reiterated that it would be ready to operate across Lebanese territory and would operate against those seeking to breach the ceasefire agreement.
Earlier on Wednesday, IDF troops shot at suspects who had been detected in a prohibited area in Lebanese territory, the military said on Wednesday morning, hours after a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon came into effect at 4:00 a.m. local time.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israel's state broadcaster KAN reported that soldiers had fired warning shots at Hezbollah terrorists who attempted to return to Kfarkela in southern Lebanon.
Following the incident, Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had instructed the IDF to operate forcefully against such incidents, Israeli media reported.
The military further noted that Israeli forces remained deployed in their positions in southern Lebanon, that the air force would be prepared to act across the country, and that Israel's Aerial Defense Array would remain on high alert.
IDF ready to operate
"The IDF will operate against anyone who attempts to breach the ceasefire agreement and will continue to protect the citizens of Israel," the IDF stated.
Later on Wednesday, Hezbollah member of parliament Hassan Fadlallah said that the terror group had the right to defend itself if Israel attacked.
The ceasefire agreement includes a 60-day period during which Israeli forces will withdraw from southern Lebanon, where the Lebanese military would be deployed, with Hezbollah moving north of the Litani River.
