High to very high air pollution is expected in the Negev and Arava regions from noon on Friday, the Environmental Protection Ministry and the Health Ministry warned.
A gradual improvement in air quality is expected on Saturday during the daytime.
The expected high air pollution is a result of precipitation causing strong southwesterly winds that result in dust being transported from Egypt to Israel.
