IDF intercepts Houthi missile targeting central Israel before it crossed into country

The IDF intercepted a missile fired by Yemen's Houthis toward central Israel before it crossed into the country during the late hours of Saturday night, Israel's military said shortly after the incident. 

Although sirens were only sounded in Talmei Alezar, located near Pardes Hana, there were reports of explosions heard throughout central Israel.

The IDF noted that sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.
