Ashdod gang members who 'randomly stabbed people' arrested

Ten youths suspected of belonging to a violent gang which randomly attacked and stabbed people in Ashdod were arrested on Monday on suspicion of attempted murder.
In June 2011, the suspects, five adults and five minors, allegedly stabbed and injured two people on an Ashdod beach, injuring one man mortally and a second man critically, according to police.
"This is a violent and thuggish gang, notorious for acts of thuggery among young people in Ashsod, which terrorized youths in the city with the aim of strengthening their criminal standing," police said.
Additional knife attacks occurred soon afterward at the Magic Park Ashdod, police added, in which three people were stabbed. That attack was also linked to the gang by police. Two people were moderately injured in that incident.
