Attempted stabbing attack thwarted south of Hebron

The terrorist was shot after approaching IDF soldiers with a knife drawn.

An attempted stabbing attack was thwarted on Sunday morning near Fawwar, southwest of Hebron, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. No injuries were reported in the incident and the suspected terrorist was incapacitated.

The terrorist reportedly drove towards IDF soldiers patrolling in the area and jumped out of the car with a knife drawn, according to the IDF. The soldiers shouted for him to stop and when he continued to move towards them, they shot at him.
The terrorist was treated at the scene and transferred to Soroka Medical Center.
Also on Sunday morning, the Qalandia Crossing near Jerusalem was temporarily closed after Israeli security forces found a suspicious object, according to Palestinian media. The crossing was reopened later in the morning.
