Education Minister Naftali Bennett criticized his own government on Tuesday for what he views as a lack of a defense strategy against Israel’s primary enemies - Palestinian lone wolf terrorists, Hamas, and Hezbollah.Speaking at a defense conference in Tel Aviv, Bennett said that Israel was in danger of “being dragged by events” rather than taking the initiative.“Israeli history has taught us valuable lessons on the dangers of being held hostage by the charms of set patterns of thinking,” Bennett said. “It isn’t the diplomatic stalemate [with the Palestinians] that is the gravest threat standing before us, but our philosophical stalemate.”
