Gantz: No immediate danger of war, but situation unstable

While Israel does not face an imminent threat of war, regional instability could lead to a quick deterioration, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz said Wednesday, according to Army Radio."I don't think there's an immediate danger that our enemies want to start a war, but due to the region's sensitivity, I think the chances that we'll find ourselves in a deteriorating situation are high, so there is danger," Gantz said in an address to a leadership conference at Tel Hai College.Gantz also threw his support behind the high court's Wednesday decision to overturn the Tal Law, saying, "There is today too much tolerance for those who do not serve, and we must stop it."It shouldn't be this way," he continued. "We should give preference to those who contribute."
