Haredim arrested for printing fake tickets to celebration

Police arrested two men from a printing business on Bar Ilan Street in Jerusalem for allegedly printing fake tickets to the Siyum Hashas celebration on Tuesday night in the Ammunition Hill Parking Lot.
Thousands of haredim are expected to celebrate the completion of the seven-year “Page a Day” learning cycle of the Babylonian Talmud. Tuesday’s event, which is closed to women, is part of a week of major celebrations in Israel and around the world. The owners of Shoshanim Printing were arrested Tuesday morning when the police burst into their shop and discovered a number of fake tickets.
According to the haredi media, the celebration on Tuesday sold out and it is difficult to obtain tickets. The men will not be detained for the duration of the trial after Jerusalem Magistrate Court Judge Einat Zinger ruled to the men from detention because the number of fake tickets printed was fairly low.
