Although posters bearing the faces of fashion models, female politicians and female entertainers have been defaced or removed from Jerusalem billboards in deference to haredi sensibilities, apparently dead women don't offend.Posters on numerous billboards in downtown Jerusalem advertising an evening of tribute to heroic Jewish women, and featuring portraits of Mania Shochat, a Hashomer pioneer, Sarah Aronson of Nili, Hannah Senesh who parachuted behind Nazi lines, and partisans Zvia Lubetkin and Esteria Ovadia remain intact.
