Health Ministry: Hospitals required to stock transparent masks for staff

Hospitals in Israel will soon be required to have a stock of transparent masks for staff so that they can better communicate with hearing-impaired patients, Ynet reported the Health Ministry informed hospital administrators on Monday morning.
The directive will take effect on August 1, and a letter sent to hospital administrators states that "the purpose of these masks is to facilitate communication with the hearing impaired who are helped by lip-reading."
