MK Amir Ohana [Likud] said that "the high cost of living is a real problem, the yellow vest protest is not," while speaking during a cultural event held in Holon on Saturday.
"[The protest] is nothing but cheap, infantile copying of the Paris protests," he said, adding that some members of the opposition are trying to piggyback on the protest's back for political gains.
Saying that the only way to reduce to cost of living in Israel is lowering customs taxes and opening the market to competition, Ohana called on Finance Minister Moshe Khalon to act on such a "liberal policy."
