Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to convene the cabinet on Thursday in order to approve his plan to battle stone-throwing and Molotov cocktail attacks. The plan consists of three main steps: changing the live-fire rules of engagement, instituting minimum punishments for Molotov cocktail and stone-throwers and fining the parents of minors caught throwing stones and Molotov cocktails. The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement saying that he is 'determined to pass his plan in the cabinet, and afterward to quickly legislate it.'
