A 16-year-old Syrian suspected of preparing an attack in Norway was remanded in police custody for two weeks on Friday.
The PST security police said the teenager had been arrested on Thursday on suspicion of preparing "an act of terrorism."
His public defender has called for his release.
"He is not admitting to any crime," lawyer Anders Berg Fevang told the public broadcaster, NRK.
Police did not reveal details of the suspected plan.
