An oil spill was discovered by the Environmental Protection Ministry in the Gdora stream, which runs from Kiryat Ata to Kiryat Biyalik. Members of the Kishon River Authority are working with municipal staff to clean up the spill. The Green Police has opened an investigation into the issue.
