Overnight al-Qaida raid leaves at least 16 dead in major Yemeni city

ADEN - At least 16 people were killed in an overnight raid by dozens of al-Qaida militants on Yemeni government buildings and military outposts in Seyoun, the second largest city in the south-eastern Hadramout province, a local official and residents said.
The militants withdrew in the morning after briefly captured some of these buildings, they said. At least 10 government soldiers and six militants were among the dead.
