Peru to Israel: Extradite Israeli arms dealer for corrupt sales push

Peru has requested to extradite an Israeli weapons mogul for bribing government officials over two decades ago, AFP cited Peruvian Prime Minister Juan Jiminez as saying on Thursday.
Arms deal Moshe Rothschild allegedly bribed the officials in Lima to sell overpriced formerly-owned warplanes to the Peruvian air force in the 1990s, AFP reported.
The South American country "hopes that under the principle of reciprocity the extradition will be approved by Israel, so that Rothschild can be tried and sentenced for his crimes," AFP quoted Jiminez as saying.
