Former Gilboa Prison Intelligence Officer Rani Basha is set to be dismissed from the Israeli Prison Service, following an order from Prison Commissioner Katie Perry on Tuesday evening.
Basha was a suspect in the original Gilboa Prison pimping affair in 2018 but the case against him was closed in 2019 due to "lack of evidence," against the recommendations of the police.
The order for his administrative dismissal follows the decision made by the State Attorney on Tuesday to reopen the investigation, as well as the publications of journalist Liran Levy who first broke the story in 2018.
