Report: Police to recommend closing sexual harassment case against Silvan Shalom

Police will recommend closing the sexual harassment case against former minister Silvan Shalom after none of the alleged complainants came forward to issue an official complaint, Channel 10 reported Tuesday night.
Without an official complaint police cannot question Silvan Shalom about any specific accusation, severely complicating the investigative process.
Police did not confirm the report on Tuesday night, as the case is still ongoing.
The final decision about whether or not to close the case will be made by Attorney General Avichai  Mandelblit.
Shalom resigned in late December after accusations of sexual harassment were made by 11 women, ending a 23-year career as a lawmaker.
