Right-wing group to teachers: Say no to doves

The right-wing organization Mattot Arim wrote a letter to organizations representing teachers and parents on Sunday asking them to not encourage children to wear clothes bearing doves to school on Yom Hazikaron.

The organization wrote that blue and white colors, the Star of David, and the menorah were all symbols of Israel but that the "peace dove" was not.

A spokeswoman for the group warned that allowing dove symbols into schools was tantamount to encouraging the children to adopt "left-wing, pro-Palestinian views."

The group encouraged parents to complain to school principals if they see children wearing clothes bearing doves at schools on Monday.
