Route 66 from the Megiddo junction to Hayogev has been blocked in both directions due to a fire in the fields of Moshav Hayogev, Maariv reported Saturday evening.
Nine firefighting teams from the Afula station are currently working to fight the fire at the scene.
Israeli firefighters and police officers are on the scene and redirecting traffic to Route 65.
Earlier in the day, Megiddo airfield, which is located close to route 66, was closed due to a concern that the two prisoners who have yet to be captured may attempt to steal helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.
