Suspect in W. Bank shooting is released to house arrest

A Jerusalem resident arrested on suspicion of shooting dead a Palestinian youth after coming under a rock attack in January was released to four days' house arrest on Thursday.
The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court ordered the suspect to post a 2000 shekel bail, and allowed him to leave home only to attend prayers at a synagogue while accompanied by his father or elder brothers.
On Wednesday, police said the suspect, 25, was the main suspect in a lethal shooting of 19-year-old Udi Nahar Kadus near West Bank village of Iraq Burin.
Police said the suspect was arrested after eye witnesses provided a description that fit his features, and after "many complex investigative operations" were carried out by Judea and Samaria Police's Central Unit.
The suspect will be charged with manslaughter, police added.
"We know rocks were thrown, followed by the shooting," a police spokeswoman said.
