"We wish to express our deep appreciation to the members of the subcommittee for their tireless efforts in crafting this plank," a joint statement from Jason Dov Greenblatt and David Friedman, advisers to Trump on Israel, reads.
"From conception to approval of this plank, we have witnessed the incredible dedication to Israel shared by so many individuals and we were humbled by this show of dedication and honored to take part in this process," the statement continues.
The statement also praises the committee's addressing of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement, also known as BDS, who call it an "anti-Semitic" organization that "hurts Israelis, Palestinians and the hope for peace."
"We are also pleased that the committee has recognized that BDS is a modern manifestation of anti-Semitism. The BDS movement is not interested in promoting peace and coexistence, or in forging a better future for Israelis and Palestinians," according to the statement.
