Tunisia: Soldiers deployed after rioting reaches capital

Soldiers were dispatched in central Tunis Wednesday after riots that officials say have killed 23 people hit the capital for the first time, Reuters reported.Two military vehicles were stationed on the city's main avenue as armed-soldiers monitored the streets.Soldiers were also patrolling the state television headquarters in downtown Tunis.The wave of unrest is the worst in the 23 years since President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali came to power.
