Two Border Police officers were injured lightly Friday morning in clashes with Israeli rioters protesting in a closed military area, near the Yitzhar settlement in the Samaria region of the West Bank.
Border Police arrived to the area to evacuate nearly 30 settlers located in a closed military area, who according to the police report, were there to rebuild an illegal wooden structure that had been previously torn down.
The two police officers were injured after the settlers became violent following the Border Police’s arrival in the area. According to police reports, the settlers threw stones and other objects towards police officers and used pepper spray, in addition to blockading roads with burning tires.
