US Secretary of State Pompeo 'deeply troubled' by Navalny arrest

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he was "deeply troubled by Russia's decision to arrest Aleksey Navalny," in a tweet on Sunday.

Pompeo went on to say that "confident political leaders do not fear competing voices, nor see the need to commit violence against or wrongfully detain, political opponents."
