For second straight night, Israel Air Force hits Gaza in response to continued rocket fire from the territory into the South.

For the second straight night, IAF aircraft attacked in the Gaza Strip overnight Wednesday, this time targeting a center of terrorist activity in the northern part of the coastal territory.According to the IDF Spokesman's Office, IAF personnel recorded a direct hit on the target during the strike, which came in response to continued rocket fire from the territory.On Wednesday afternoon a Kassam rocket exploded in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council area. No injuries were reported, although light damage was caused to greenhouses in the area.IAF aircraft also struck targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Tuesday in response to Palestinian rocket fire, indicating that tit-for-tat attacks between Israel and Gaza-based terrorist groups over the weekend could resume.The escalation over the weekend saw the IAF strike targets in the Gaza Strip, killing five Palestinians in the span of 24 hours, including the leader of an al-Qaida-affiliated group in Gaza.An Islamist group in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula bordering Israel said on Tuesday it will take revenge against the Jewish state for the IDF strikes. "We, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes group tell the Jews that the blood of our brothers in Palestine is ours and their revenge is ours... So wait for our painful reply and revenge," the group said in a statement posted on Islamist websites.
