IAF strikes warehouse, tunnel in southern Gaza Strip
No injuries reported; IDF says strike was in response to series of rockets launched into western Negev in past week.

The Israel Air Force struck a weapons warehouse and a smuggling tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip overnight Tuesday.No injuries were reported.RELATED:Gaza violence not expected to escalate, officials sayFM tells UN envoy to file complaint on Gaza rocketsThe IDF said the air strike was in response to three rockets launched into the western Negev in the past two days.Last week, two Palestinian terrorists were killed on the Gaza border when IDF troops opened fire on a number of suspects on the northern end of the Strip. The terrorists were apparently trying to infiltrate a kibbutz on the Gaza border.IAF planes and IDF troops on the ground opened fire and confirmed hits. No soldiers were injured in the incident, the IDF said in a statement.The IDF statement asserted that terrorist organizations are making ongoing attempts to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli citizens. "The IDF sees the Hamas terror group as responsible for breaking the peace," the army said.
