'Wikileaks': Syria aimed chemical weapons at Israel
Olmert disclosed existence of long-range missiles in 2008 meeting with US congressmen; expressed desire to weaken Hamas in lead-up to Cast Lead

According to the 'Wikileaks' documents, Olmert detailed Israel's preparations for Operation Cast Lead and expressed a desire to deal a significant blow to Hamas.In the discussions, Olmert also expressed his support for PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, praising Fayyad's work in the West Bank and stating that he saw a significant difference between him and his predecessor Yasser Arafat.
