Judaism and food overlap in many ways, and Jewish food influencers are taking to their platforms in a unity-based project in support of Israel during wartime in their new project with the Museum of the Jewish People.
Their project, "We are together," is associated with Foodish, the food-centered wing of the Museum of the Jewish People. It brings together top Jewish cuisine chefs from across the globe to create content like workshops and lectures.
The project's goal is to raise funds for evacuees from the south and north, as well as raise spirits for those fighting on the frontlines.
Foodish, set to kick off on October 27th, will offer workshops and food lectures, with workshops being offered free of charge. However, participants will be encouraged to donate.
Donations would cover a range of needs, directed to food, equipment, and kitchen utensil needs for residents evacuated from their homes in the south and north of the country.
No shortage of influencers
Food influencer Jake Cohen, who has amassed 1 million followers on Instagram, is expected to appear and bake a cake for Shabbat.
Idan Habsov, also known by his username challahprince, will appear learning how to knit a Star of David.
There is no shortage of food influencers from the Jewish world who will appear as part of this project.
The content can be accessed directly through the Foodish website and is expected to be free and available to the public.
