MKs spoke out strongly against the dismantling of three homes in the Migron outpost late Sunday night, calling on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to “stop those who persecute settlers under the pretension of upholding the rule of law.”
The heads of the Land of Israel Caucus, coalition chairman Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) and MK Arye Eldad (National Union) released a statement on Monday saying that “the State Attorney’s Office and the Civil Administration proved that the rule of law is not what is important to them. They are focused on destroying settlements in Judea and Samaria.”

Elkin and Eldad called for Netanyahu “to find any legal solution to ensure that no more homes will be destroyed.”
“We are convinced that the homes in Migron could have been saved,” they added.
Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said that the “the address [for complaints] is the government, and not the High Court.”
In July, Rivlin said before the plenum that demolitions cannot be prevented unless construction is authorized, and announced that he had requested from the attorney general, prime minister and defense minister to legalize the homes in Migron.
MK Yariv Levin (Likud) said on Monday, “Destroying homes in Migron is a cowardly and anti-Zionist action of a government and legal system that ignore the over 100,000 illegal Arab homes in the Negev, Galilee, Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and invest their resources in harming Jewish settlers in Migron and other places.”

“The government should authorize building plans, which were unjustly delayed, today,” he added.
“[Defense Minister] Ehud Barak’s disastrous decision to demolish Israeli homes in the community of Migron last night continues his embarrassing reign as Defense Minister.
There is absolutely no reason to demolish the homes of these law-abiding citizens. A Likud government should be building homes in Judea and Samaria, not destroying them.” MK Danny Danon (Likud) said.
Danon plans to hold a rally of Likud activists in support of Migron next month.
“The worst trials and tribulations were caused by Likud prime ministers, like Sharon, Olmert and Netanyahu,” MK Ya’acov Katz (National Union) said. “As usual, Netanyahu is being cruel and exerting his power over the weak.”
“I call once again for Likud MKs not to follow Netanyahu, who is continuing in the way of Sharon and Olmert and was a partner in the destruction of Gush Katif,” Katz added. “He froze and freezes Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, Ma’aleh Adumim, Beitar and Gush Etzion, and is an extension of the Israeli Left.”
Katz called on “the last of the faithful to the Land of Israel in the Likud” to “wake up” and join the National Union.
