A train carrying 150 passengers northward from Ben Gurion Airport hit a parked vehicle early Wednesday morning, causing light injuries to one woman on board. The vehicle was split in two from the force of the crash, but nobody was found inside.Two train cars ran off the tracks near Beit Yehoshua following the accident. The passengers continued their journey on a different train.According to police, the parked car had been stolen on the previous night from a Moshav in the area, and the thieves had tried to cross the tracks at an unofficial crossing.Israel Railways reported that delays would be expected.Teams from Magen David Adom were called to the scene, and treated one of the passengers who suffered from shock as a result of the incident. Firefighters scanned the length of the track in order to try and locate the owners of the vehicle but it appeared that they had abandoned the vehicle once they saw the approaching train.
