Bomber's prison cell set on fire in Britain

Report: July 21 bomber's prison cell set alight in Britain₪ The prison cell of a man convicted of trying to bomb London's transit system was set on fire, a British television station said Friday. Channel 4 News said Hussain Osman, 29, one of four would-be suicide bombers who targeted subways and a bus on July 21, 2005, returned to his cell Sunday to find it ablaze. The Ministry of Justice said a small fire was detected Sunday in a cell at Frankland Prison, 250 miles (400 kilometers) north of London, where Osman is reported to be held. No one was injured, and prison authorities were investigating. The ministry would not confirm that Osman's cell had been targeted, saying it could not comment on individual prisoners.
