'Gaddafi's son to send $50m. to Gaza'

Libyan leader's son reportedly claims Israel agreed funds transfer.

A Libyan organization is planning to funnel $50 million into the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported Thursday.
Quoting Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's son, the report said that an agreement had been reached with Israel to allow for the transfer of funds and construction materials into the Strip.

"We go the grapes, so why kill the vineyard guard?" Reuters quoted him as saying, citing a report from London-based paper a-Sharq al-Awsat.
Gaddafi junior went on to say that the funds would be transferred in coordination with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, in order to "rebuild Gaza and transfer humanitarian aid and construction materials, without any objection on the part of the Israeli government."
The comments came a day after Libyan-backed ship Amalthea, carrying cargo for the Gaza Strip, docked at the Egyptian port of el-Arish, and did not try to break the naval blockade and sail for Gaza.
