Moderate earthquake felt in Kashmir, no casualties

A moderate earthquake struck India's Kashmir region early Thursday. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2, was felt throughout the mountainous areas along the disputed border between India and Pakistan in Kashmir, the seismological observatory of the Indian Meteorological Department, reported.
On October 8 a massive earthquake of 7.6 magnitude struck both Indian and Pakistani-controlled portions of Kashmir, killing over 87,000 people and leaving 3.5 million homeless.
The Web site of the Indian Meteorological Department, which reported a magnitude of 5.2, said the quake happened at 3:35 a.m. local time and was centered in the frontier region of Indian Kashmir.
