Explosions heard at Paris soccer stadium
Three explosions were heard in the stadium where an apparent suicide bombing occurred as a friendly soccer match between France and Germany was underway on Friday.
France 24 television said that president Francois Hollande had been at the Stade de France but left shortly after the explosions that reportedly left four dead, including the perpetrator.
At least 140 people were killed in shooting and bombing attacks in the French capital. About 100 people were killed in a concert hall in central Paris and 40 others have died in other locations in and around Paris in militant attacks, an official at Paris City hall said on Saturday.
Police confirmed there had been shootings and explosions at the stadium, but not the number of casualties.
After the match, police guided supporters outside the stadium.
Witnesses said police closed down a neighborhood in central Paris where media said gunmen had fired in a restaurant, causing multiple casualties.
