Iran defense minister: Exercises not a threat

The broad-scale exercises that the Iranian army has been conducting over the last few days should not worry anyone, Iranian Defense Minister Gen. Mostafa Muhammad Najjar said Monday night. "Not only doesn't the defensive power of Iran pose a threat to any country in the world, but it is a source of stability and security in the region and in the whole world. In the 27 years of its existence, the Islamic Republic has not started any kind of confrontation or war, and it will not start one," he said.
