During meetings between Shaked and [Rafi] Peretz, she said that Bennett will run the negotiations between the two parties, according to the official. Party members believe that Bennett is intentionally obstructing negotiations with the intention of leading the negotiations to an explosion and then having his party run alone.
New Right denied the claims, calling the reports "nonsense."
"It's too bad that the URP is dealing with rumors and slander instead of working," stated the party. "Shaked and Bennett are determined to act with all their power for the union [of the parties] and therefore they placed a fair proposal that even gives an advantage to the URP, even though in all the polls the New Right is leading. Ayelet leads the party in a clear way and she is involved in all the details of the negotiations."
"These claims are ridiculous," added the party. "We suggest that our friends in the URP focus on the uniting of the camp. In our view, we could close it this evening."
