Ammonia leak at Nestle factory in Southern Israel causes minor injuries
Twelve people were treated for inhalation of gas, but a major catastrophe was avoided in the potentially flammable gas leak.

An ammonia leak at the Nestle factory near the southern city of Kiryat Malachi caused light injuries to 12 employees Thursday morning.The employees were treated by paramedics for inhalation of the potentially poisonous and inflammable gas and evacuated to the hospital.Firefighting teams were dispatched to the area.The incident occurred in the Be'er Tuvia Industrial Area near Kiryat Malachi, home to several factories, workshops and agricultural faculties. The Nestle division manufactures a variety of ice cream products and breakfast cereals in conjunction with Israeli's Osem group.
